Call for Abstracts: 2022 ISU James D. McKean Swine Disease Conference

The Iowa State University James D. McKean Swine Disease Conference enables swine practitioners to assist pork producers in a rapidly changing and global production environment by enhancing practitioner decision-making tools in disease control, animal welfare, and food safety for the benefit of animals, clients and consumers.

The conference planning committee is pleased to announce the inaugural poster session to be held during the conference in Ames, Iowa on November 3 - 4, 2022. Abstracts for poster presentations must be submitted at the following link https://iastate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cvSevb2c5WWaNcG

Deadline for submission is Friday September 16, 2022.

Abstract Requirements:

  • Five hundred (500) words or less. Citations are not included in the 500-word limit and should be listed at the end of the abstract.
  • Must include the following information: introduction/background, methods, results, and conclusions
  • The presenting author must register for the conference

Authors will be notified of the abstract selection for poster presentations by, September 30, 2022. Abstracts selected for presentation will receive further information on poster formatting. The posters will be displayed for the entire duration of the conference from November 3 - 4, 2022.
