Resources for Educating Youth in Agriculture
August 11, 2022 —
Get resources to educate youth on zoonotic disease prevention.
CDC works with the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) to promote One Health collaboration between federal and state public health and animal health authorities and state youth agriculture organizations through a program called Influenza and Zoonoses Education Among Youth in Agriculture.
This program funds states to identify opportunities to work with youth agriculture organizations, such as 4-H, to raise awareness of and prevent zoonotic disease outbreaks. The program educates youth about zoonotic disease risks and strengthens One Health relationships among state public and animal health departments and agricultural communities across America.
