Position Announcement: Clinical Veterinarian

AMVC is seeking a clinical veterinarian in Ames, Iowa to work within the contract research group VRI. VRI is based in Ames, Iowa and is an industry leader in the conduct of innovative research in the support of the animal health industry. Most projects are focused on swine and involve advancing vaccine and pharmaceutical technologies and tools.

Responsibilities for this position will include:

• Developing, organizing, and executing clinical research projects
• Providing veterinary oversight and leadership to the VRI team
• Establishing good working relationships with clientele

Additional opportunities could include:

• Providing consultation services across the AMVC organization
• Development of new services, technologies, or businesses for someone with the entrepreneurial mindset
• Execution of internally or externally funded research projects

Requirements:

• Education: Must possess a DVM. Advanced degrees are preferred: MS, PhD, or board certification
• Experience: Prior experience in swine veterinary field preferred, but not required
