The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) is looking for an energetic, skilled, and organized individual to be the Emergency Management Coordinator. The position involves preparing Iowa for foreign animal disease outbreaks which includes, but not limited to, managing funding associated with foreign animal disease planning, writing and applying for grants, coordinating and exercising foreign animals disease plans with industry in Iowa, and coordinating/preparing IDALS staff for a foreign animal disease. Special preference will be given to veterinarians with these skill sets or individuals with experience in Iowa animal agriculture.
