Dr. Jim Lowe from the University of Illinois is hosting a free live webinar on the importance and impact of taking a systems-based approach to biosecurity. The focus will be on biosecurity systems that enhance the economic output of independent production units. Dr. Lowe will discuss the SIR model for categorizing infectious disease occurrence, utilizing tools to block disease transmission, as well as provide methods for interrupting microbe transmission at the herd level.
