People on the Move: Dr. Monique Pairis-Garcia

Dr. Monique Pairis-Garcia has accepted a position at North Carolina State University as Associate Professor, Global Production Animal Welfare, in the Department of Population Health and Pathobiology. Dr. Pairis-Garcia received her DVM degree in 2011 followed by a PhD in Animal Physiology in 2014, both at Iowa State University. Since then, she has been employed as Assistant Professor, Animal Welfare and Behavior, at The Ohio State University. In 2018, she achieved diplomate status in the American College of Animal Welfare.
