United Animal Health to Sponsor AASV Student Poster Competition

The AASV is pleased to announce that United Animal Health has assumed the sponsorship of the Veterinary Student Poster Competition held during the AASV Annual Meeting. United Animal Health's financial support enables scholarships ranging from $200 to $500 to be awarded to the fifteen participants in the competition. The 2020 AASV Annual Meeting will mark the tenth year of the poster competition and scholarship awards.

United Animal Health joins long-time sponsors Zoetis and Elanco Animal Health in supporting the AASV Student Seminar and Poster Session at the AASV Annual Meeting. Zoetis provides a $5000 scholarship to the student making the top oral presentation in the Student Seminar, in addition to providing a $750 travel stipend to each oral presenter and co-sponsoring a $250 travel stipend to each poster presenter, for a total of $20,000 of support. Elanco Animal Health provides an additional $20,000 of support for the fourteen scholarships that are awarded to the participants placing 2nd through 15th in the Student Seminar oral competition.

The AASV has issued the call for abstracts to be considered for presentation in the Student Seminar and Poster Session. Submission details are available at aasv.org/annmtg/2020/studentseminar.htm. The due date for submissions is Wednesday, September 18.
