Position Announcement: Swine Technical Manager - Health and Nutrition

As a leader in animal nutrition and health, Novus International is seeking an experienced swine veterinarian to assist in the development and implementation of solutions that improve animal health, welfare, and performance for our customers. This role will work closely with and communicate the application and value of NOVUS solutions to the veterinary community within the pork industry. The individual in this role will contribute to the development of value propositions and technical messages for the NOVUS solution portfolio. Additionally, this role will be responsible for assisting in developing and conducting technical training programs for NOVUS personnel and NOVUS customers. The person in this role will provide technical support to the NOVUS sales team and customers and represent NOVUS at various industry meetings and events throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Develop application of NOVUS technologies and services with customers focusing on swine health challenges
• Coordinate North America applied research with emphasis in swine health via nutrition
• Contribute to development of value propositions and technical support message of the NOVUS solution portfolio to the veterinary community
• Develop and conduct technical training programs for the North America sales team
• Provides sales support to the North America sales team through product training, customer visits and communications
• Provide technical service function for North America sales team. This includes extensive communication with industry veterinarians, key consultants, live production personnel and universities
• Maintain an awareness of industry trends and share market information with NOVUS personnel
• Develop close working relationship with industry production veterinarians, veterinary consultants and universities
• Travel estimate of at least 40%, dependent on office location

Desired skills and experience

• DVM degree with swine health specialization
• In-depth knowledge of swine health, commercial production, and a willingness to learn and communicate
• he impact of nutrition on swine health
• Experience with planning, conducting and interpreting swine research
• Skilled in critical thinking and novel application development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and customer interaction skills
• Demonstrable leadership skills, analytical problem-solving skills and experience with strategy development and implementation
• Industry experience of at least 5 years is desired
