District Director Elections Under Way; Ballots Due March 1

Elections for AASV District Directors are under way in three AASV districts. In addition, balloting is still in progress for the office of AASV Vice President. Members are encouraged to submit their ballots now to ensure they arrive (by mail) in the AASV office by Friday, March 1.
Ballots for the District Director positions have been mailed to eligible voters to members in Districts #3 (AR, KY, MO),#7 (western US) and #8 (NE, SD). In each case, the current director is running unopposed for re-election, although the opportunity for a write-in candidate is available.
The Vice President ballots were mailed to eligible voters in January. The Vice President candidate is Dr. Mary Battrell (Garland, North Carolina), and the candidate for President-elect is Dr. Jeffrey Harker (Frankfort, Indiana). Both are unopposed.
The election results will be announced during the AASV 2019 Annual Meeting in Orlando.
