An Auction Story

You and 5 friends have just returned to the cabin after an invigorating day whitewater rafting in the New River Gorge in beautiful southern West Virginia. You relax in the living room listening to the dueling banjos playing off in the distance. The kids are gathered in the kitchen wearing their reversible cooking aprons helping prepare a fantastic apple pie using a variety of fruits from the Harker Family Farms and Orchard. The adults are standing around the kitchen admiring the custom-made hand-crafted knife from J.L. Johnson Custom Knives you used to slice the apples earlier. That pie is going to taste great after a dinner of grilled pork tenderloin from Compart Pork.

As night falls, you turn on the pig lampstand and sit down to read an historic 1989 AASP newsletter you found in a magazine rack by the end of the couch. You won't be able to read for long, however. You've got an early morning the next day. After a big breakfast of Indiana Kitchen Bacon and eggs, you and 3 of your friends have to catch a flight to Chicago to attend a Chicago Bulls basketball game that evening!

You gaze upon the wooden pig you recently picked up on a trip to China and think to yourself, "what a life I lead." As you scurry off to bed, you pause momentarily to straighten the AASV 50TH Annual Meeting commemorative copper plaque hanging on the wall and wonder to yourself, "who's playing those damn banjos!"

The AASV Foundation Auction Committee needs your help. You can support the effort by donating items to be auctioned off by completing the donation form by December 1, 2018. Remember to participate in your Foundation's annual fundraising auction to be held during the 2019 AASV Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL. Go for the gold!
