Team and individual registrations for the AASV Foundation Golf Outing in Orange City were due last week, but we still have space for a few more golfers on August 23, and we'd love to have you join us! Contact AASV today (aasv@aasv.org or 515-465-5255) to register.

The AASV Foundation is heading to Landsmeer Golf Club in Orange City, Iowa for the 2018 Golf Outing fundraiser, scheduled for Thursday, August 23. Thanks to strong support from sponsors, the event promises to be one of the best ever, both for golfers and the foundation! Golfers will enjoy beverages provided by Zoetis, lunches supplied by APC, and the concluding awards dinner sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health. In addition, twelve of the eighteen golf holes will offer giveaways, contests, and prizes provided by golf hole sponsors Aurora Pharmaceutical, Cambridge Technologies, Ceva Animal Health, Elanco Animal Health, GlobalVetLINK, Hog Slat, Huvepharma, Insight Wealth Group, Merck Animal Health, National Pork Producers Council, Pharmgate Animal Health, and Topigs Norsvin.

The registration fee includes 18 holes of best-ball golf, cart, lunch, beverages, awards dinner, and prizes. Funds raised by the event support AASV Foundation programs, including research grants, travel stipends for students attending the AASV annual meeting, swine externship grants, scholarships for veterinarians pursuing board certification in the American College of Animal Welfare, tuition grants at the Swine Medicine Education Center, and more.

Golfer check-in begins at 11:00 AM on the 23rd, with practice balls available for warming up on the driving range before the contest begins. A shotgun start at noon kicks off the four-person team, best-ball competition. Golfers compete as a foursome against the challenges of the course (and the other teams) in addition to participating in individual contests along the way.
