People on the Move: Dr. James Kober

After 31 years in practice, Dr. James Kober has accepted a position as Assistant State Veterinarian - Non Ruminant Species for the state of Michigan. He will have direct control of the swine program and indirect control of the poultry, aquaculture, equine, and small animal programs within the state. He begins work in his new position on August 13, but he will retain ownership of his practice and has hired an associate, Dr. JoAnna Kane, to run the practice. Dr. Kober will fulfill his term of AASV Pig Welfare Committee chair and AASV AVMA CPAC representative.
