Position Announcement: Swine Technical Service Veterinarian

Norbrook, Inc., a family-owned company producing quality pharmaceuticals for nearly 50 years, is seeking a swine technical service veterinarian to join our team. This position will be responsible for technical and marketing support for the North American business, and will routinely interface with R&D, regulatory, marketing and customer service. Being a field-based position, travel will be required to key accounts across the country as well as to our US headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and initiate key business to business relationships with key protein production organizations
  • Develop relationships and provide technical support to key distribution partners and end users of our products
  • Review marketing, sales and training material
  • Participate in development of product launches
  • Support field sales force with both training and technical materials
  • Attend national veterinary meetings representing Norbrook, Inc.
  • Field both internal and external requests for technical information
  • Identify new markets and product opportunities for future growth

Position Requirements:

  • DVM
  • At least 3 years of clinical practice or pharmaceutical industry experience focusing on swine medicine and production
  • Knowledgeable in large swine production systems
  • Understanding and knowledge of the animal health industry from the individual veterinary/customer level through distribution
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access
  • Outstanding people skills
  • Understanding of the veterinary and distribution channels
  • Willing to travel 50% of the time
