Video Describes Checkoff Return on Investment

Harry Kaiser at Cornell University conducted an economic analysis of the National Pork Board's Checkoff Program. This video describes the findings of this analysis. The researcher evaluated the 5 key activities funded by the Checkoff Program: domestic advertising, domestic promotion, export promotion, new product development research and farm-level production research. The analysis estimated the return on investment for each of these activities. According to the results of the study, the production research category provided a whopping 83:1 return on investment!
