Position Announcement: Technical Service Veterinarian, Swine

Pharmgate Animal Health seeks a Swine Technical Service Veterinarian to join our team in launching and supporting our innovative therapeutic and vaccine product lines in the USA and internationally. The company is a joint venture created by ECO Animal Health (UK) and Pharmgate (USA) to distribute and service their respective products in North America.

Pharmgate is the majority-owned US subsidiary of Jinhe Biotechnology Co., Ltd., the world leader in the production of chlortetracycline feed grade, chlortetracycline hydrochloride, salinomycin and other animal health compounds. ECO Animal Health based in London U.K. is a leader in the development, registration and marketing of pharmaceutical products for global animal health markets. Its products for these growth markets include the novel macrolide antibiotic, Aivlosin®.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support sales through professional level technical support to swine veterinarians, producers, and distributors.
  • Establish professional relationships with key opinion leaders in industry, government and academic circles.
  • Design, monitor, and report on field trials and collaborate with academic or research trial cooperators.
  • Provide technical input for the development of training, marketing, and sales materials.
  • Provide technical support for sales representatives, marketing personnel, and fellow technical team members.
  • Investigate and report on disease breaks and product complaints through problem resolution strategies, which might include farm visits and diagnostic investigations.
  • Prepare and submit abstracts of field trials for oral or poster presentation at veterinary conferences

Requirements:

  • A veterinary degree with minimum of three years veterinary practice, industry or production system experience in swine is desirable.
  • This position will be home/field based in the USA. Some international travel will be required.
