Jim Kober Involved in a Farming Accident

Dr Jim Kober provided the following information and asked that I share it with our AASV members.

"I wanted to let you know that I had a serious farm accident on September 7th that resulted in the loss of my right arm. Thanks to outstanding emergency responders, I made it to the hospital I decent shape. The Drs. And nurses have been wonderful. I had a number of "clean and debride" surgeries before the final closure of the wound. Thankfully they tell me I am a great candidate for a prosthesis so we are working towards that. I am thankful for friends, family, and colleagues who have sent offers of help and assistance. I will make it through this with all their help."

The latest news we have from the family is that Jim is back home and recovering well. He is undergoing occupational therapy and has even spent a few hours back in the office. The family established a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/JAKrecovery/) for updates on Jim's progress.
